Sure, the Fort Dodge messenger says Culver deserves credit. However, they are not talking about the entire flood recovery battle, just the state's response to help Iowa farmers.

The register is referring to the optimism and vision by FDR and the generation that spurred the new deal...not optimism and vision on the part of the governor.
