Comment: It is a shame that Cedar Rapids thinks they need traffic cameras - this seems mostly financially motivated. How are the cameras going to respond when real community caretaking is necessary? This is a "cop out" and they should be ashamed. I believe it should be illegal .. sending a ticket in the mail is cowardly. by Lana

Comment: Drivers that know and obey the traffic laws need not change. Those who exceed the speed limits, run red lights and make illegal turns need to change their ways or pay the price. Too bad some people are so irresponsible and have such an elitist attitude. by Ken

Comment: I have no worry. I don't run red lights. I could have been broadsided by somebody who did this. I just happened not to move immediately my light turned green; that saved me from a probable fatal accident because the person who ran that red light was driving at a high rate of speed. by Anne

Those who complain about "invasion of privacy" are merely trying to justify their irresponsible driving habits of running red lights.
