Dubuque Assistant Principal Shane Oswald pleaded not guilty this morning to charges of Sexual Exploitation Of a Minor and Giving a Controlled Substance To A Person Under the Age of 18.

Oswald is accused of having sex with a student multiple times in his home, and giving her alcohol and prescription drugs.

Last week, a judge denied lowering Oswald's bail from $50,000 saying he was a flight risk.

Dubuque Police say that after questioning Oswald about the accusations two weeks ago, he flew to Miami with a one-way ticket to the Bahamas.

On Wednesday Oswald was released from jail after posting bond.
