A former Iowa City guidance counselor accused of molesting a young student.

Monday the alleged victim took the stand during day one of Donald Clark's sex abuse trial.

41-year-old Donald Lyle Clark has pleaded not guilty to second degree sexual abuse.

He's accused of molesting a fifth grade boy back in 2004 while a guidance counselor at Lemme Elementary.

Monday that student described his memories of the abuse, which he says took place in Clark's office.

He claims Clark covered the window on the door, turned out the lights, then put his hands down the boy's pants.

Now almost seventeen, the student talked about his struggles with depression, drugs, and alcohol ever since his encounters with Clark.

The trial is expected to wrap up Wednesday.
