Cleaning up the flooded Jones County Fairgrounds has proven to be quite a tall order.
Record flooding this weekend forced the fair to cancel a concert and scale back events for the first time ever.
Tuesday we went on a tour of the grounds.
Three days later -- there are still plenty of mud puddles and standing water.
On Saturday the water was six feet deep in some parts.
That's twenty inches deeper than the previous flood record.
It was also the first time it's ever flooded the actual week of the fair.
"I feel the most sorrow for those people who have worked so hard,” said fair manager John Harms. “And they don't get to showcase all of their hard work."
The Jones County Fair is already planning to have an exhibit on this year's flooding at next year's fair.
